AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – Bridgestone says it has contained the incident and business is operating as usual.
Bridgestone Americas says it identified a limited cyber incident which has impacted some manufacturing facilities.
The company says it has launched a comprehensive forensic analysis and believes it contained the incident early.
The company says it gave employees whose normal work was impacted the chance to stay at work and do preventative maintenance and receive a full day’s pay or the option to go home without pay.
It also says it doesn’t believe any customer data was affected in the incident.
Bridgestone says it is continuing business as usual.
We are still working to learn the extent of the incident’s impact.
Bridgestone had a large cyber security attack in 2022.
