PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Carpenter Technology Corporation (NYSE: CRS) announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO.)
Brian Malloy, currently President & Chief Operating Officer, will serve as CEO effective July 1, 2026.
Company officials say Tony Thene, current Carpenter Chairman and CEO, will continue as Executive Chairman of the Board, guiding strategy, maintaining key stakeholder relationships and providing Board leadership.
“Over the last decade, Carpenter Technology has realized unprecedented growth through the successful execution of our strategy. And I strongly believe that the company is only at the beginning of its growth journey. I look forward to maintaining an active role in that journey as Executive Chairman,” said Thene.

Malloy has served as Chief Operating Officer since 2023. Over the last 10 years, he has also held the roles of Senior Vice President & Group President of SAO and PEP, and as Chief Commercial Officer.
Carpenter, which has manufacturing facilities in Reading, Berks County, is a recognized leader in high-performance specialty alloy materials for the aerospace and defense, medical, transportation, energy, industrial and consumer markets.
