South Korea Poll Finds AI-Driven Cyber Abuse Concern

The Korea Media and Communications Commission (KMCC) on March 30 reported that more than 80% of South Korean teenagers and adults are concerned about online abuse tied to generative AI, including deepfakes and disinformation. The KMCC survey of 9,296 students and 7,521 adults found 89.4% of teenagers and 87.6% of adults recognize AI-driven cyber violence; reported abuse rates were 42.3% for teens and 15.8% for adults in 2025.
