“I just solved eight wars, and a ninth is coming. I believe Russia and Ukraine will happen,” said the US president.
He also emphasized the importance of peace agreements, which, he said, help save millions of lives and strengthen the United States’ reputation on the international stage.
It is well known that Trump often claims he ended a number of military conflicts around the world.
In his latest statement, the US president asserted that he personally ended eight wars — something, he noted, even George Washington and Abraham Lincoln could not boast of.
He referred to conflicts between Israel and Iran, Pakistan and India, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Thailand and Cambodia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Egypt and Ethiopia, as well as Serbia and Kosovo.
The eighth conflict, which Trump said he ended, was the war between Hamas and Israel, which has been ongoing since October 7, 2023.
Despite the ceasefire that was announced on October 19, both sides once again exchanged strikes, meaning there is still no final cessation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
At the same time, Trump has expressed a desire to stop the war between Russia and Ukraine.
However, according to him, ending this conflict is more difficult due to the personal animosity between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
The Bloomberg agency, citing its sources, reported that Ukraine, together with its European allies, is preparing a 12-point plan to end the war with Russia along the front line.
