A former executive from Société Générale has joined London-based Barclays to lead its global markets unit in the region.
Barclays has appointed Jean-François Mastrangelo as head of markets, Asia Pacific, according to a statement. In the role, he will lead the global markets business across the region with a focus on strengthening its platform, broadening product offerings and deepening client relationships. Based in Hong Kong, he will report functionally to Adeel Khan, head of global markets, and regionally to Jaideep Khanna, CEO, APAC.
Mastrangelo has nearly 20 years of global markets experience in senior leadership roles in Paris and Hong Kong across structuring, trading and platform development, with a proven track record of driving growth and innovation. He was most recently head of equities APAC at Société Générale.
