The event, which gathered numerous officials and business executives, examined how entities can fulfill the stipulations of the Cyber Resilience Act. Participants generally agreed on the regulatory goals but identified significant difficulties in translating those aims into functional systems.

A central topic was the elevated importance of managing vulnerabilities and providing security updates. These elements are now fundamental compliance necessities rather than secondary technical tasks. This change compels businesses to integrate security measures throughout a product’s entire existence, from creation to retirement.

The company contributed perspectives drawn from the maritime industry through its work on two European cybersecurity initiatives, CYBERGUARD and CYBERFORT. A company security officer noted that while regulatory objectives are understood, the primary obstacle lies in executing them within products and processes.
