Media claims Iranian hackers give cyber blows to Israel

According to a report published on Wednesday by the Hebrew-language PC Magazine, cyber warfare between Iran and the Israeli regime began long ago and has been underway for at least three years.

The outlet said this cyber confrontation has included sabotage attacks, espionage activities, and operations aimed at influencing public opinion.

Meanwhile, the report stated that with the start of a 12-day war in June, Iranian cyberattacks against the Israeli regime saw a very sharp increase, as hostile hackers rapidly succeeded in adapting and changing their operational methods in cyberspace.

The report said that by the end of 2025, it could be acknowledged that Iran ranked first among countries that dealt cyber blows to Israel this year, despite the Tel Aviv regime portraying itself as innovative and a leader in the cyber domain.

Separately, the report noted that June saw a marked rise in the number of attacks against the Zionist regime, with small and medium-sized companies coming under heavy attacks.

It added that attackers targeted law firms, construction companies, human resources providers, and logistics service suppliers.

In the same context, customs clearance companies and communications infrastructure firms were also said to have been taken over by these hackers.

In another section, the report referred to several hacking groups it said were responsible for delivering the most significant blows to the Israeli regime.

The outlet said that amid the large volume of attacks, a number of hacking groups stood out more than others, including MoodyWater, Charming Kitten, DarkBit, Phoenix Cyber Storm, and, most notably, Hanzala.
