WATCH: Israeli cyber authority uses AI to mock Iranian hackers, counter psychological warfare

The Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD) on Tuesday put out an unprecedented video of counter psychological warfare against Iranian hackers who have been in overdrive to try to spread digital chaos against Israel since the current war started.

Since the war started, INCD has received over 1,300 reports of Iranian psychological warfare attempts using fake phone calls or text messages to try to scare Israeli citizens or to “phish” for their personal information to hack them.

77% so far have been attempted “phishing” hacking attempts.

Iranian messages are designed to manipulate Israeli citizens through fear to give up their information.

Israel cyber agency video mocks Iranian ‘doomsday weapon’

In the video, the INCD shows what appear to be top Iranian military and cyber officials ready to release their “doomsday weapon.”

The top Iranian officials make a direct verbal call to an Israeli, who, aware of their methods from prior INCD warnings, ignores their attempts and makes fun of them.

Next, the Iranian officials discuss trying to text the same Israeli, but one of them complains that the INCD and Israeli efforts have learned to ignore their WhatsApp hacking messages as well.

Comically insulting the Iranian officials, the purpose of the video is to increaseIsraeli awareness not to fall for Iranian psychological warfare and to show the public that simply being on their guard can shut down Iran’s extensive efforts.
