António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, says the world is experiencing profound geopolitical tensions, widening inequalities, eroding trust, and immense human suffering.
Guterres wrote on X on Wednesday night, April 15, that the current situation requires dialogue, de-escalation, and full respect for international law.
He added that under the present circumstances, efforts must continue to strengthen peace and ensure justice for all.
The United Nations has repeatedly emphasized the importance of dialogue, reducing tensions, and adhering to international law as key ways to prevent the expansion of crises.
