Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that despite global challenges, petrol and diesel prices in India have come down rather than increased. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ensuring fuel affordability and uninterrupted availability for citizens. Stressing on the government’s commitment to green energy, Puri noted that work on ethanol production is advancing rapidly. He referred to the Prime Minister’s recent inauguration of a bamboo-based ethanol plant in Assam as a major step toward energy sustainability. Praising Uttar Pradesh, the minister highlighted its progress in the energy sector, particularly in renewable energy, and said India is steadily moving towards self-reliance and cleaner energy alternatives.
