Advancements in Career Technology Education recognized during CTE Month

Emphasis on creating more technical opportunities for students has grown in Texas, especially as the nation recognizes National Career Technology Education Month.

President Donald Trump read a proclamation in 2025 declaring February as CTE Month, giving governmental legitimacy to a month recognized for years as a way to increase awareness for students at high school and collegiate levels.

Victoria students have the Career and Technical Education Center and Mid Coast Construction Education Academy as education opportunities for those who seek practical knowledge for over 460 technical industries in Texas.

State voters have recognized the growing importance of technical education for students, supporting Proposition 1 in the Nov. 4, 2025, election to create a permanent fund source for the Texas State Technical College, a collegiate system dedicated to creating opportunities after high school.

However, at every level, technical schools intend on providing certifications needed to jump into high paying jobs that are in high demand, even after high school.
