    Delhi News Live Updates: Prime Minister Modi Monday launched Rs 1 lakh crore  Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Fund to promote private sector investments in research and development. Unveiling the fund at the first ever Emerging Science Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC), Modi said, “We are witnessing new shift in global order; pace of change is exponential.”  The conclave brought together policy makers, innovators and global visionaries to drive India’s Viksit Bharat vision for 2047.

    Delhi air quality: Air quality in Delhi deteriorated sharply on Monday, slipping into the “very poor” category as pollution levels spiked across the capital with the AQI touching 316 at 9 am, according to the Air Quality Early Warning System (EWS). The private air quality monitor and forecaster AQI.in, however, pegged the AQI slightly lower at 242. According to AQI.in, breathing air in this location is as harmful as smoking 7.8 cigarettes a day. This estimate is based on the average PM2.5 concentration over the past 24 hours, assuming continuous exposure during that time.

    Ring road revamp: To tackle traffic congestion, the Delhi government’s Public Works Department (PWD) is set to redevelop the 55-km-long Mahatma Gandhi Road Corridor, commonly known as Ring Road. The government has appointed AECOM India Pvt. Ltd. to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the elevated road corridor redevelopment. The project aims to decongest the city’s key arterial route and improve overall traffic management through modern design and elevated corridors, officials said.

    To tackle traffic congestion, the Delhi government’s Public Works Department (PWD) is set to redevelop the 55-km-long Mahatma Gandhi Road Corridor, commonly known as Ring Road. The government has appointed AECOM India Pvt. Ltd. to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the elevated road corridor redevelopment.

    The project aims to decongest the city’s key arterial route and improve overall traffic management through modern design and elevated corridors, officials said. Divided into six phases, the project will cover stretches from Azadpur Flyover to Hanuman Temple (9.5 km), Chandgi Ram Akhara to Majnu Ka Tilla (2.5 km), Hanuman Temple to DND Flyover (11.5 km), DND Flyover to Moti Bagh Metro station (10.5 km), Moti Bagh to Rajouri Garden (10 km), and Rajouri Garden to Pacific Mall, Pitampura, and Azadpur Flyover (13.5 km).

    Delhi News LIVE Updates: No law student can be detained for sitting in exams due to attendance shortage

    The Delhi High Court on Monday ruled that no law student in the country should be detained from sitting in examinations due to lack of minimum attendance.

    The high court, which passed a slew of directions in relation to mandatory attendance requirement in law colleges, asked the Bar Council of India (BCI) to modify the mandatory attendance norms.

    Due to shortage of attendance, student’s promotion to next semester class cannot be withheld, it said.
