Charlie Kirk, a right-wing activist and close ally of US President Donald Trump, was shot dead in a targeted attack at Utah Valley University. Elon Musk, former ally of Trump has responded to the incident, calling it a “cold-blooded murder”.Musk expressed his shock and grief in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter). “The shot looked real bad, but I sure hope Charlie makes it somehow,” the tech billionaire wrote as the news broke out. A couple of X users pointed out that posts on Bluesky are “celebrating the assassination”. The Tesla CEO responded saying “shows what we’re dealing with. Evil people.”
When a user wrote “Whether you agreed with him or not, Charlie Kirk is dead purely because some people didn’t like what he had to say.That should outrage every single one of us”, Musk responded with an affirmative ‘yes’.“They are celebrating cold-blooded murder,” he wrote in another post.

In another post on X, Elon Musk called out the left party saying “The Left is the party of murder”. He was responding to an X user that said “The Left lectured us for the last decade about the dangers of violence from the Right. From the assassination attempts of President Trump. To Brian Thompson, the United Healthcare CEO, being murdered. Now to Charlie Kirk. The danger was actually on the Left”When another user said “Not only “the left,” it’s people who fund them.Like Soros, Bill Gates, and Reid Hoffman. Some patsy boomer who was radicalized by agitprop is not who anyone smart considers responsible for today. That’s a fact”, Musk replied “Exactly”.
Trump mourns death of Charlie Kirk
Trump posted a video on his Truth Social platform where he called Kirk’s assassination a “heinous” and “dark moment for America.””For years, those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals,” Trump said.“From the attack on my life in Butler, Pennsylvania, last year, which killed a husband and father, to the attacks on ICE agents, to the vicious murder of a healthcare executive in the streets of New York, to the shooting of House Majority Leader Steve Scalise and three others. Radical left political violence has hurt too many innocent people and taken too many lives.””My administration will find each and every one of those who contributed to this atrocity and to other political violence, including the organisations that fund it and support it, as well as those who go after our judges, law enforcement officials, and everyone else who brings order to our country,” Trump added.
