Local shoppers this Black Friday prefer Cyber Monday

While shoppers were out this Black Friday at Valley River Center, many we spoke with said they are not seeing the door-buster deals they had before.

“Black Friday deals have kinda, also, like disapeared. They’re all online now, so you’re kind of just normal-shopping looking for the small deals and stuff . It’s not really that big any more,” Korbyn Kopachik said.

“I would much rather be in bed in my PJs and buying stuff than out, but it’s still fun to go around,” Kaitlyn Gaskill said.

Though some shoppers now prefer less-storied sales events like Cyber Monday, other view Black Friday as a holiday tradition.

“It kinda brings back some nostolgia to be at the mall and have it decorated for Christmas, and, you know, get out and see the deals,” Madison Hummel said.
