One county in New Jersey says it has been attacked by malware.
Passaic County said the malware attack is affecting their IT systems and impacting their phone lines.
“We understand that several other local governments in New Jersey have experienced similar incidents,” the county said in a statement on Wednesday night.
They say local and federal officials are working to investigate and contain the issue.
No further details have been provided.
